Many know what I think about mentoring however, it is more important to know what young people think and feel about mentoring.

For this reason below you can see some quotes from students who have experienced one of our mentoring courses and the impact it has had on their attitude, performance or learning:

• “My school work has improved and my grades. It has made me feel more motivated to complete my work.”
• “It’s made me more independent and I realise what I have to do to reach my goals.”
• “Has given me the confidence to move forward.”
• “It means a great deal to me as I would not be where I am today without this.”
• “It has helped me to work harder and sort out applying for colleges and I’ve thought a lot about what I want to do when I leave school.”

If you are to go off what the students have shared in the quotes above you can see that for many it has been an epiphany and truly transformational.

For this reason, I believe if the minority can experience such benefits, imagine if every young person was granted the opportunity to have mentoring?
