MENTORING CONSULTANT Herman Stewart is one of those rare finds who is both articulate and a respected authority in his field.

And it’s because of these qualities that he is known as the ‘Mentor of Mentors’.

A son of Jamaican parents who actively encouraged him to be the best in all he did, he focused his early aspirations on becoming a professional footballer. But despite early success – he was chosen to play for England’s under 15 team – injuries and a lack of discipline meant he gave up on a promising career.

After finishing his studies in counseling and mentoring, he was approached by the athlete and former Gladiators TV star Judy ‘Nightshade’ Simpson who was mentoring pupils at a local school. She needed assistance with some of the young boys who were on the verge of being excluded. Simpson felt that they needed a male influence that they could relate to and felt Herman offered the right qualities and outlook to connect with these young men.
