Transforming Lives – ECNM Style

I hope that you are well and enjoying the month of July.

We are most grateful.

At Every Child Needs a Mentor we value relationships as they are what makes our work with children & young people work effectively.

That is why we want to Thank you all of you who support and encourage us at ECNM Ltd.

It’s all about the children

This academic year has been like no other! During this period we have:

• Launched our new website
• Developed new business partnerships
• Recruited new mentors
• Piloted our new mentoring programme
• Impacted even more children and young people
• Supported parents and families

Here are a few moments this year that I would like to share with you:

We had our Open day, where we spoke to a great turn out of candidates with our recruitment partner the National Career Service.

We attended the Sandwell Exploitation Conference on April 4th, which was also my birthday. The room was filled with professionals who sang Happy Birthday to me… I blushed.

I met my childhood icon Baroness Floella Benjamin, OBE, DL. We both presented to a room full of school leaders that day. Let’s look through the round window…

I was invited to attend the Diana Awards National Youth Mentoring Summit, where the keynote speaker was the one and only HRH Prince Harry.

Finally…

One of the highlights of this year, which came out of the blue too! I was nominated for Role Model of the Year 2019! For all of the years that I have worked with young people, I have never received such an honour and I say it has taken me aback.
